Valley of Fire Expedition:

Journeying North from Las Vegas in our Hummer H2 or 4x4 SUV we may get a glimpse of the famous Stealth fighter - bomber as we pass Nellis Air Force Base. Next is the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, home of a variety of race car evernts, including Nascar.

Now the vast Mojave Desert, stretching to multicolor mountains on the horizon, captures your attention. Your experienced guide will keep you entertained with his knowledge of history, geology and the plants and animals surviving in this harsh environment.

A brief stop at the Moapa - Paiute Nations Travel Plaza and a chance to shop for Native American handicraft and art.

Then on to the mysterious Valley Of Fire. Marvel at the brilliant colors and strange formations of flaming red sandstone sculptured by nature; wind, water and time. 150 million years of time!

Puzzle over the meaning of petroglyphs - messages left in the stone by ancient people hundreds of years ago. The scenery here is absolutely stunning. We will enjoy a snack lunch surrounded by natures peaceful beauty and then visit other popular spots like Atlatl Rock, Elephant Rock, Seven Sisters formation, and stone cabins assembled for travelers more than 70 years ago.
